Sri Lanka among top five tourist destinations

In 2010 Sri Lanka was placed in top ten tourist destinations in the world. But today with its rapid development and improving tourism facilities Sri Lanka is placed among top five tourist destination in the world.

Some reports ranked Sri Lanka as number 2 and 3 position while Lonly Planet rank it as "Best in Travel 2013".

The reason is,
 
The Undiscovered Country You might say Sri Lanka has been hiding in plain sight. Countless scores of travellers have passed overhead on their way to someplace else, but years of war and challenges such as tsunamis have kept Sri Lanka off many itineraries.

They have picked up following as Top pick for Sri Lanka.

1 Ancient Cities ( Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya )

But they forgotten about most beautiful and world heritage City in Sri Lanka Kandy. If you ever visit Sri Lanka Kandy is a must place you need to visit.

2. Arugam Bay.

There are lot more nice beaches around country. Mirissa , Weligama and Nilaveli are few of them.

3. Ella

In Yala you can see lot of wild animals than any other national parks. But we shouldn't forget Minnerya and Udawalawa.

Don't forget to see Huggala and Nuwaraeliya city while you there.
